Private Museums Need Governments Support, http://bali.antaranews.com, 14 December 2012


Private museums in Yogyakarta would still like to receive a funding allocation from government. Up until now the government's focus has been to provide assistance to the state museums only, however both public and private museums have the same role of providing education through historical events that have shaped the character of the nation. Currently the number of private museums in the province is more than state museums.

Problems museum in Indonesia, almost the same; namely, the lack of visitors who appreciate the collection and the existence of the museum.

Therefore, the need for promotion is done continuously, in order to grow awareness of the public, especially students to visit the museum. "During this time many museum managers are unprofessional," said Chairman Mitra Museum Indonesia (MMI), Prof. Wiendu Nuryanti PhD in STUPPA office, Friday (18/9).

MMI cooperate with the ICCT and Stuppa Indonesia conducted training and tourism and museum management announced selfie award-winning museum in 2015. In fact, according to Prof. Wiendu Nuryanti PhD, an expert Planning Museum and Tourism, there are allusions, the difference between the museum with an arsenal of very thin, ampek, and other so on.
