Mining industry's management in Indonesia is facing difficulties due to capital shortage. As a result, a number of mining activities is still funded by foreign companies. Approximately 25 mining units in Indonesia are under the management of foreign companies. Nonetheless, conflicts often occurred, as the practices are not people-oriented.
