Rudy to Open 25 Salon Branches: web.bisnis.com, 30 July 2009
PT. Rudy Hadisuwarno, a salon services provider, continues to spread its wings by opening another 25 branches of its salons brands, Salon Rudy and Brown Salon. The two products are targeting middle-class consumers. In the last six months, the company has opened 15 out of the 25 branches. They aim to open 2 salons per month. The branches will mostly be opened in the eastern region of Indonesia. Per July 2009, the company has accumulated a total of 58 Salon Rudy and 20 Brown Salons.

Nichepreneurs are entrepreneurs who chose specific (niche) market. Lisa S. Wewengkang is an example of such entrepreneurs. In 2000, she established 'd-katz' salon. Its target is a child aged 3 to 12 years old. The salon caters to approximately 100 clients on weekdays. During the weekend, the salon is visited by no less than 150 children.
