PT ASDP Ferry Indonesia (Persero) has completed the construction project of the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Labuan Bajo in the Integrated Area of Marina Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This area is a government-owned integrated business area that contains hotels, marina ports, and commercial areas such as food, beverage and souvenir tenants. TPI is expected to be able to meet the needs of the community to carry out fish trading activities better, while improving to become a tourist destination Labuan Bajo.

TPI Labuan Bajo was built on an area of 4,768 square meters, providing 45 kiosks and 136 booths for traders selling dry and wet products. The building which covers an area of 2,426 square meters, is also equipped with parking facilities for 50 vehicles, ATM facilities, toilets, and prayer rooms. The location is close to the pier, so it will make it easier for fishermen, local residents, and tourists who will visit. The TPI pier also has the capacity to accommodate up to 680 units of jetty ships, which are on average 7 GT (Gross Tone). Dominated by white and designed with a more modern building model. Later, TPI will be developed by the local government to be used as a fresh market as well as tourist attractions for visitors. In the future, TPI will also be developed as a venue for various culinary tours, fish festivals and various other festivals.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) verified a number of areas in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, which will be designated as the location for the construction of a fish auction place (TPI) in the area nicknamed Benuo Taka. The location verified by KKP is an area proposed by the Penajam Paser Utara Regency Fisheries Service which is considered suitable for building a fish auction place.

The verification was carried out considering the number of ships that can reach the proposed area, as well as the advantages and disadvantages. The proposed construction of the TPI will be integrated with the construction of a modern fishing village, according to him, so that the infrastructure of the surrounding fishing villages is also built and can improve the community's economy.
