Plastics and rubber industry in Indonesia has grown to serve diversified industries based growing. Despite global economic challenges, the Indonesian economy is predicted to grow 6.4% in 2012. The figures above represent Indonesia as a promising and attractive market for the plastics and rubber processing industry, which has contributed to the continued growth of both domestic and export sectors.

The growth of food and beverage industry a blessing for the plastic packaging industry raw material. Plastic consumption levels go up.

According to Minister of Industry MS Hidayat, the growth of the food industry and beverage consumption by 60% to make plastics (packaging) increases.

"Demand for plastic packaging industry is mainly driven by the growth of food and beverage and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) by 60%," said Minister of Industry MS Hidayat in Building Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/09/2013).

According to Hidayat, the level of per capita consumption of plastic products per year in Indonesia is still low compared to neighboring countries. In Indonesia, the level of consumption is only 10 kg / capita / year. As for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand reaching 40 kilograms / capita / year.

Now, the plastic packaging industry, amounting to 892 pieces capable of production of 1.65 million tons / year. Its products are quite diverse ranging from rigid packaging, flexible packaging, thermoforming, and extrusion.
