According to data released by the Department of Industry and Trade of the Province of Bali, the overall activity of export of handicrafts from Bali, to this day wooden handicraft industry is still much in demand by foreign countries. This is evident from the realization of wood craft exports since January 2016-August 2016 which increased by 32.84%, from US $ 43.6 million in the period January 2015-August 2015 rose to US $ 57.91 million in the same period this year.
Head of Industry and Trade Office of Bali Province, Ni Wayan Kusumawathi said that during January 2016-August 2016 wood craft industry contributes 15.72% of the total export commodities from Bali, with export volume reaching 24.05 million units in that period.
