Refinery integrated energy in Bojonegara Serang district, Banten Province valued at Rp 10 trillion, which is done by PT Pertamina (Persero) together with the business units Kalla Group, PT Bumi Sarana Migas (BSM), will enhance Indonesia's capacity to secure the supply of gas supplies in the country , especially for the region of western part of Java.

Executive Director of 98 Institute Sayed Rizaldi Junaidi said, the appointment of Pertamina as the sole buyer (offtaker) refinery product indicates that the company can play an important role in the supply gas (LNG) in the future. In addition to Pertamina and PT BSM, also involving foreign companies, namely Tokyo Gas and Mitsui.

Based on data from Pertamina, West Java, has a deficit of 315 MMscfd of gas in 2015 and is projected to increase threefold to 962 MMscfd in 2025. Nationally, Indonesia experienced a gas deficit amounted to 1,013 MMscfd in 2015 and is predicted to increase to 3,206 MMscfd in 2025.
