Rattan Industry was rationed in School Chair & Table Project of Rp.20 trillion,, 27 December 2011

The government encourages State enterprises and private sector to conduct CSR in the form of procurement rattan chairs and tables for damaged schools throughout Indonesia. This is in order to encourage domestic rattan industry that had been sunk. Production rattan tables and chairs that will be done in rattan-producing areas, such as in Palu (Central Sulawesi), Katingan (Central Kalimantan), and Pidie (Aceh) and started in February 2012; Government's invitation to hold a rattan chair and table for school has been warmly welcomed by the Association of Furniture and Handicraft Rattan (AMKRI). AMKRI Chairman considers that the decision was correct and very supportive and encouraging of this program. In the future after the CSR is expected to be supported by state and local budgets.
