National precast concrete use is predicted to increase 30% by 2019 in line with the increasing need for the use of precast concrete in infrastructure projects and the housing program being promoted by the government.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Taufik Widjoyono states, support the availability of resources in the form of precast concrete construction in the country is very important in the development of infrastructure, because the increasing use of precast concrete in tune with the increasing use of local components.

"Precast concrete industry is advantageous because the quality is closely monitored since manufacture. On the pitch also becomes clearer. The use of these products can also reduce the production cost, "he said.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) ready to support capacity building in the precast concrete industry in Indonesia. Because of the need for precast concrete will be increased, with increasing construction activity in infrastructure and housing for people in the future.

Based on the data available on the Association of Precast and Prestressed Indonesia (AP3I), in 2015 and then, the concrete industry capacity reached 25.45 million tons, or about 18.60 percent of the total national value of the concrete work. According to program strategic plan DG PUPR Construction Ministry is targeting capacity of the concrete industry will be encouraged to reach 41 million tons, or 30 percent by 2019.
