Ministry of Industry will request that the musical instruments, which is still subject to Sales Tax Luxury Goods (PPnBM) 20 percent in order to be removed, so that the impact will be felt on the additional investment and employment is greater.

According to Ansari Bukhari, Director General of Metal, Machinery, Textile and Miscellaneous (ILMTA) of the Ministry of Industry, on Tuesday (31/7) after representing the Minister of Industry Fahmi Idris opened the exhibition optics, musical instruments and sports equipment at the Plaza of Industry, musical instruments excluding luxury goods and consumer limited, so that the imposition of luxury sales tax on these products is less precise.

Musical instruments were not including luxury goods, but it can be a means of education and support the development of arts and culture. In addition, the improper imposition of sales tax on luxury in an attempt to brake the rate of consumption of these products.
