Petrochemical company PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) recorded a net profit in the first half of 2016 amounted to 131.75 million US dollars, up significantly from 636 percent compared to the same period of the previous year 17.91 million US dollars. Director TPIA Suryandi said the increase was mainly benefited from strong product margins and higher sales volumes of new capacity Ethylene Cracker Company. "While the net income amounted to 882.11 million US dollars, up 10.4 percent from 799.24 million US dollars," said Suryandi, Jakarta, Monday (29/08/2016). According to him, the strong performance supporting the company's ability to deliver positive growth momentum, as business conditions and challenging operational amid slowing domestic and global economy.
In particular, for 2016, TPIA will focus on strengthening the operational and financial performance to provide higher value to stakeholders and contribute to the growth of the petrochemical industry in Indonesia.

Petrochemical company PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk will increase its production capacity by building a revamp furnace project. The revamp furnace project is entering the construction phase in the third quarter of 2018. It will be completed in the first quarter of 2020. This was stated by Chandra Asri Petrochemical Director, Suryandi.
The facility will increase the installed capacity of its ethylene products to 900,000 thousand tons per year, currently at 860,000 tons per year. In addition, the facility will also increase the installed capacity of propylene from 470,000 tons per year to 490,000 tons per year, Py-Gas from 400,000 tons per year to 420,000 tons per year, and Mixed C4 from 315,000 tons per year to 330,000 tons per year.
This additional production capacity enables the company to serve the increasing demand for petrochemical products in Indonesia.
