Salt Prices Rise 4-Fold, Ice Beam Industry Threatened Bankrupt: https://www.liputan6.com/news/read/3045876/harga-garam-naik-4-kali-industri-es-balok-terancam-gulung-tikar/3 August 2017

As a raw material in the process of freezing ice, soaring salt prices also become a burden for ice entrepreneurs in the capital city. Since the price of salt has risen by up to 4 times, the expenditure has jumped from Rp.500 thousand to Rp.2 million for one manufacture.

As aired by Liputan6 Petang SCTV on Thursday (3/8/2017), ice entrepreneurs chose to reduce the use of salt in making freezing solution. Salt solution was made repeatedly, so the quality of ice beam decreased. Currently, business people can only hope that the government can provide a solution to stabilize the price of salt.
