Jembo Cable Sales Rises by 35 Percent Bisnis Indonesia, page B1, 2005-12-24
PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk projects a 30 percent to 35 percent sales growth to reach Rp.560 billion and Rp.10 billion in net profit. By the end of 2005, the company’ sales was estimated to reach Rp.422.6 billion. For the period of January to September 2005, the company has booked Rp.323.3 billion in sales. However, the company’s net profit decreased 277 percent to Rp.934 million compared to last year. The decrease was due to the Rp.13 billion debt interest that had to be paid during the period. In 2006, the company also plans to develop a new product, a data-transferring copper wire.

PT Jembo Cable Company (JECC) Tbk is optimistic that it will be able to fulfil its income target of Rp.340 billion and net profit target of Rp.8 billion by the end of the year. The company’s optimism is due to large demands and orders the company has been receiving. Up to November 2004, the company has received orders worth Rp.401 billion in total. Sales realization until that period has reached Rp.313.98 billion. 2004’s income was also supported by the efficiency and revitalization programs. The efficiency program is estimated to cut down costs by 0.6 percent to 0.8 percent.
