Spindo (ISSP) Strategy Facing The Volality of Iron Ore Prices: https://investasi.kontan.co.id/news/strategi-spindo-issp-menghadapi-volalitas-harga-bijih-besi/24 August 2018
Moody's lowered the outlook for PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia's Tbk (ISSP) debt to negative from previously stable. Even so, the ISSP bond rating remains. Because the ISSP outlook is down, Moody's sees that the volatility of iron ore prices will affect the issuer's profit margin because the cost of iron reaches around 85% - 95% of the cost of goods sold by ISSP.

Corporate Secretary and Investor Relations of ISSP, Johannes Edward said that his side has a special strategy to deal with the volatility of iron ore prices, which is to increase the purchase of local raw materials to reduce the risk of foreign exchange differences. ISSP performance until July 2018 is quite good. He estimates, performance by the end of the year will continue to grow. Revenue is targeted to increase by 10% - 20% and net profit is also expected to increase very significantly around 35% - 50% because there is a business's operational efficiency and inventory management.
BPS: Metal ore contributes to Indonesia's export increase in July 2024: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/4262219/bps-bijih-logam-sumbang-peningkatan-ekspor-indonesia-pada-juli-2024/15 August 2024
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that metal ore, slag and ash commodities contributed to the increase in Indonesia's export value in July 2024. Acting Head of BPS Amalia A Widyasanti said that there were three commodities that experienced a significant increase in exports on a monthly basis, namely metal ore, precious metals, jewelry/gems and machinery and electrical equipment.

"On a monthly basis, the commodities that support the increase in exports are metal ore, slag and ash to Japan, China and India. Second, precious metals, jewelry to Japan, Hong Kong and Jordan, third, machinery and electrical equipment to the United States, Singapore and South Korea," said Amalia in Jakarta, Thursday.
