PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) has stated its commitment to boosting the use of natural gas for domestic needs. Moreover, gas combustion emissions are lower when compared to emissions from other fossil fuels such as coal. PGN President Director Arief Setiawan Handoko revealed that throughout 2024, PGN has succeeded in distributing 860 Billion British Thermal Units per Day (BBTUD) of gas with gas transmitted of 1,400 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD).
"We have succeeded in distributing gas in 2024, approximately 860 BBTUD with gas transmitted of approximately 1,400 mmscfd," he said at the Energy Corner event, CNBC Indonesia, Friday (20/12/2024).

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk seeks to expand the use of natural gas to various regions. One of the targets is the entire industrial area in Indonesia. PGN's mission to channel natural gas throughout the industrial park is in line with the government's plan to increase new investment integrated in one region.
