The Ministry of Industry said that the implementation of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) in the gold industry directly increases the competitiveness of jewelry products sold, while providing security guarantees to consumers. By including the SNI logo on gold products, consumers will be greatly helped, especially for industrial companies, it will also strengthen competitiveness because it increases the value of the gold product itself. This was conveyed by the Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (BSKJI) of the Ministry of Industry, Andi Rizaldi in Jakarta, Tuesday.
According to Andi, through the implementation of the gold standard, the utilization of the jewelry sector continues to be encouraged to be able to contribute to the national economy, as well as become a means of technical barriers for imported products that do not meet standards.
