The Minister of Trade has signed the Decree of the Minister of Trade Number 1616 of 2024 concerning Export Benchmark Prices (HPE) and Reference Prices for Agricultural and Forestry Products Subject to Export Duty. Based on this decision, there has been an increase in HPE for several types of wood.

The increase occurred in sawn timber with a cross-sectional area of 1,000-4,000 mm2 from other types of ebony and from plantation forests of acacia, sengon, and rubber. Although there were several types of wood products that experienced an increase in HPE, it was also determined that there were HPEs for wood products that experienced a decrease.

The HPE of wood products that decreased included veneer wood from natural forests and plantation forests; wood sheets for packing boxes, wood in the form of chips or particles, wood chips, sawn timber with a cross-sectional area of 1,000-4,000 mm2 from meranti, merbau, mixed forest, other types of teak, and from plantation forests of pine and gemelina, balsa, eucalyptus, and sungkai.
