Dunkin’ Donuts targets to increase its sales by 20 percent this year as it had just recently implemented a new donut-making formula per May 2006. The new formula, or recipe, creates softer, lighter and tastier donuts. The new recipe will be launched starting June 2006. Dunkin’ Donuts currently has 200 outlets.

Children are considered as a relatively interesting and potential market as 64 million of Indonesia’s population are children up to the age of 14. The Kid Market Reseach done by Frontier on 4,000 respondends proved that more and more companies are seriously focusing on the Indonesian children market. Companies such as Dunkin Donuts and McDonald’s have been offering promotional items and menus for children. Dunkin Donuts (managed by PT Dunkindo Lestari), for example, offered children swimming equipments for Rp.7,500 (market price ranges from Rp.25,000). The promotion is a routine annual program.
