PT Indonesia Power has saved more than 15 percent from coal purchase through e-auction to fulfil PLTU (steam-generated electricity power source) Suralaya’s coal spot of 200,000 tons. The implementation of the savings program is intended to show the company’s commitment to establish good corporate governance. By implementing such program, not only does Indonesia Power acquire coal with the real prices; supplier partners also receive transparent guarantee and justice in the supplying process. Any party that participates in the auction must pass through three phases, registration and pre-qualification, tender document purchase, tender document explanation and technical opening for bidding and administration. Some companies that participated in the auction are PT Kasih Industri, PT Duta Tujuh Bersaudara, Oktasari Barona, Sinar Kalimantan and Sigma Cemerlang.
