Sriwijaya Opens 6 New Routes Bisnis Indonesia, page 5, 2006-07-22
Sriwijaya Air plans to open 6 new routes (3 international and 3 domestic routes) by increasing it planes’ utilities from 8 hours per day to 9 hours per day. The three international routes are from Jakarta to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Guan Zhou (China), to be implemented next year. The domestic routes are flight routes that connect Medan to Lhoksumawe, Makassar to Palu and Surabaya to Denpasar (by making use of planes from Jakarta). With the route additions, Sriwijaya targets to obtain 2.3 million passengers this year and 4 million passengers in 2007.
