Production No maximum, the Government will Re-planting Whole Rubber Gardens: https://economy.okezone.com/read/2017/11/30/320/1823129/produksi-tak-maksimal-pemerintah-bakal-remajakan-seluruh-kebun-karet/30 November 2017
The government will re-plant the rubber plantations because the level of natural rubber absorption in the country is much lower than other neighboring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. In Indonesia the ratio of production of sap in one hectare only get 1 ton of sap, while in Vietnam and Thailand in one hectare can get 2 ton.

Chairman of the Association of Rubber entrepreneurs of Indonesia Province of South Sumatra, Alex K Eddy said, this condition is caused by rubber tree in Indonesia is old tree so that not maximal yield rubber latex. Through re-planting this rubber plantation, will be able to increase the amount of rubber sap uptake. In the future, some rubber trees will be gradually replaced by higher quality tree species, with a total of 1.8 million hectares expected to produce 3.5 million tons of rubber latex.

Re-planting will be carried out entirely on rubber plantations in Indonesia, where it is targeted at a minimum of 15,000 hectares of rubber plantations per year.
