Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman wants national agricultural products, especially vegetables and fruit packaged better. That is to improve the quality of agricultural products which will affect the value of the price.

"We need to packaging, I see the packaging is not maximized," said Amran told reporters during blusukan with Rahmat Gobel Minister of Trade and Cooperatives Minister AAGN Puspayoga, Kramat Jati Market, early on Saturday (1/10).

Amran said, if the packaging of agricultural products performed well, he believes the quality of national agricultural products increased. Not only that, he said, the value of selling prices and sales will increase.

"There we are trying grapefruit, sweet remarkable. If this is a well dressed packaging, the price could be higher," said Amran respond fruit sold in markets Kramat Jati.

According Amran, the price of vegetables and fruit in Kramat Jati Market relative stable, if in some markets the price of vegetables and fruit rose, Amran said, it's a distinct advantage for farmers. Therefore, farmers are expected to grow again asked to move fast in order to increase productivity.

When blusukan, Amran tell, three ministries will continue to coordinate to issue policies in tune. "So this may take a decision, because it threes (Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Cooperatives) down," said Amran after blusukan in the center of the vegetables.

He said rivals Indonesia in the fruit industry is Thailand and the Philippines since the two countries have been able to produce quality fruit. "In the face of the MEA, Indonesia does not need to worry because many types of industries that can be relied upon one industry fruits," he said to Investor Daily in Jakarta, recently.

He said Indonesia is a tropical country, the condition of a friendly nature indirectly supporting industrial growth fruits. Sunpride including one of the major players in the horticultural sector or fruits in Indonesia, many seeded fruit varieties produced in Indonesia such as the Cavendish banana, Crystal Guava, Pineapple and Papaya California Honi.
