Meet Wiranto, PFN Offers Film Production Lifting Diversity: https://nasional.kompas.com/read/2017/09/14/13142121/temui-wiranto-pfn-tawarkan-produksi-film-yang-mengangkat-keberagaman/14 September 2017

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto received an audience of Commercial and Operational Director of the State Film Production Company (PFN) Elprisdat Zen on Thursday (14/09/2017). During the meeting, Elpris offered the idea that the government produce films that promote democratic values and diversity.

Elpris said the film media is one of the content necessary to instill cultural defense to the public, because the film has more appeal when compared with other media, has advantages in providing information in depth and inspire. And the entry of values that may be contrary to Indonesian-ness, the government must have the media as a filter of these values, so that the government can convey the message of diversity in an interesting way.
Abduh Azis Will Revitalize the National Film Production Company :http://koransulindo.com/abduh-azis-akan-merevitalisasi-perum-produksi-film-negara/5 August 2016

The condition of Perum PFN (National Film Production) is currently of concern. Since the 2000s, PFN is not producing various kinds of films. In fact, in the 1980s, the flag of PFN had flown again, with film labs that include the largest in Southeast Asia. PFN also produced the New Order's propaganda film-which has been recognized by many as having excellent quality, regardless of its historical content-and the film for children, the legendary Si Unyil. At that time, besides the sophisticated film lab of its time, PFN also has several studios and cinemas.

But the last few years are increasingly concerned, with financial conditions are also barely. When Moh Abduh Aziz was appointed President Director of PFN on July 22, 2016, many people have high expectations for him because he has a lot of experience in the world of cinema. He plans to revitalize the PFN and hold on to the main function of PFN as the main government public relations, coordinating with the Directorate General of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Creative Economy Agency and other institutions, which all of them are running individually, creating works that will become a compulsory spectacle for Indonesian children and will try to make the government through PFN can instill the values of nationality, sense of Indonesianness, through various media so that PFN also contribute to the development of nation character.
