Perhutani plans to build a new plywood mill in the fourth quarterof 2011. Business expansion expected to cost around 25 billion - 30 billion dollars will be using a combination of internal and external funds. Plywood plant is intended for the manufacture of furniture.

In terms of funding, Perhutani has obtained a commitment credit facility from PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) to finance all capital expenditure (capital expenditure / capex) and half the operating budget (operational expenditure / opex) in 2011. The total funding commitment from the government bank was estimated at 1.964 trillion rupiah.

Plywood industry in Purworejo district now began targeting the export market to Japan. But to penetrate the Japanese market is considered the most difficult if it compared to European and American markets.

PT. Indotama currently is the only industry in Purworejo plywood that has been able to penetrate the international market. Plywood industry is using the system labor intensive to absorb more labor.
