Turnover of National Advertising Industry Reaches Rp.57 Trillion: www.jambi-independent.co.id, 10 October 2009
Although the national advertising industry has been facing challenges in the past year, its turnover continued to rise. It is projected to rise 17 percent to Rp.55 trillion to Rp.57 trillion in 2009.

Advertisement expenditures of all media are predicted to rise by 20 percent in 2007. Telecommunications sector, the largest advertiser in 2006, holds 25 percent of consumption markets in 12 regions. From all the available media, newspaper will be subjected to the highest increase (28 percent) during the year. Advertisement increase in newspapers is due to the fact that advertisers still focus on sales building and social building elements. Overall, the increasing ad expenditure will come from 5 categories, which are telecommunications, motorcycle, banking, face cleanser and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
