Investment returns or the Return on Investment (RoI) pension fund industry reached 3.5 percent in the first half of this year. According to Statistics Pension Fund of Financial Services Authority (OJK), the achievement of the RoI was down compared withRoIin June 2015 ago, at 3.7 percent.

RoI for Employer Pension Fund (DPPK) Defined Benefit Pension Plan (PPMP) is the highest, which is 3.8 percent. Meanwhile, RoI for DPPK Defined Contribution Pension Plan (PPIP) only 3.0 percent and Financial Institutions Pension Fund (DPLK) amounted to 3.1 percent. Overall, the total pension fund investment fund industry reached Rp.217,42 trillion as of June 2016, an increase of 14.0 percent compared to the same period last year. Of the total investment, the majority, or about Rp.54,73 trillion was allocated to deposits, Rp.48,11 trillion into government securities, bonds to Rp.47.44 trillion, and Rp.29,17 trillion into stocks. The rest scattered into mutual funds, direct placement, land and buildings, asset-backed securities of KIK EBA, savings and others.
