Indonesian territory has a very good fishery potential to contribute to the fulfillment of people's nutrition. One of the aquatic biota economically valuable but not widely used in Indonesia is jellyfish (Aurelia aurita).

Jellyfish or better known by the name Jelly Fish are found in almost all Indonesian waters. But the jellyfish season in various areas from year to year is erratic and can not be foreseen.

The PPS Cilacap jellyfish is one of the traditional processed fishery products intended for most of its products are exported. Processing jellyfish traditionally does not require complicated equipment and does not require drying, but the rest of the equipment used must be resistant to the rust takes about 20-40 days where jellyfish processed using salt.
