Agricultural Ministry Inspects Import Demand for 39,000 Tons of Brown Rice www.agroindonesia.com, 2005-07-04
The Ministry of Agriculture will hold a thorough examination regarding the 39,000 tons dispensation for Thaiís hom mali brown rice to fulfil the request of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI). The import volume of special rice from Thailand has to be appropriate with needs and should not exceed the necessity. The imported rice will be distributed to four companies, PT Alam Makmur Sembada (3,000 tons), PT Sarinah (18,000 tons), PT Surya Citra Mandiri Perkasa (3,000 tons) and PT Delta Asia Pangan Sejahtera (15,000 tons).
