Increasing the Capital

President Director of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Eddie Widiono discussed the company's financial report with Director of Finance Parno Isworo and Director of Resourcing and Primary Energy Ali Herman Ibrahim at the emission of PLN IX/2007 Rp 2.7-trillion bond and Rp 300-million syariah bond. The funds will be used to increase the company’s operational capital.

PLN Able to Create Low Calorie Coal Market

PT PLN is able to create a low calorie coal market because only this state-owned electricity company is able to consume large amounts of coal. The blueprint of the National Energy Management 2005-2025 placed coal to be portioned at 32.7 percent, or 30.6 percent more than gas and 26.2 percent more than oil, which means at 2025 there will be a domestic market consumption of 194 million tons of coal. This blueprint will not have been able to operate without the serious involvement of PLN.
